Event: 8-10 June 2012
Location: The Mountbatten Centre, Plymouth

With only just over 2 months before the inaugural Ground Weaver Classic youth XC stage race, online entry is open for business!

At £30 for all for stages organisers reckon that it’s great value for money, a reminder of the race format is as follows:

Stage 1: Sprint Eliminator heats / finals at Mount Batten, Plymouth just opposite the Hoe, race as the sun sets! They’ll be a BBQ, Pasta station and crowds of cheering fans!

Stage 2: Trials Stations, Saltram House, Plymouth - Test your bike control and technical ability on 5 different stations with time penalties given for faults on each one. Each station will have 3 levels of difficulty and so could give you up to a minute in penalties......... Go practise now!

Stage 3: The Combine – A short course XC race with riders starting according to the penalties from the mornings stage, be warned, a 5 minute start delay is a lot to make up!

Stage 4: XCO Race. Races for each category around a purpose built course at Saltram House. Working hard with the National Trust, we’ve ensured that the course will be around 12 minutes per lap which reflects a 15min lap that Olympics is based on and will feature some great features both natural and manmade.

For those wanting to camp organisers have even secured a discount from the local campsite who will make you welcome and let you use the pool, but not for washing your bike! For details of how to obtain a discount, please email once you’ve entered.
