Chilli con carne is perfect after a long cold winter ride, warming you up and delivering a good amount of protein to aid recovery. This recipe from Great Britain Cycling Team nutritionists, Lauren Delany and Kathryn Brown, is simple to cook, healthy and delicious. It’ll make a few portions, so freeze a few so that you always have an easy but nutritious meal ready to go. For variety or an even leaner option, try making it with turkey mince instead.
