This year marks a unique opportunity for everyone to get involved with our fantastic sport. Whether you are a young rider eager to emulate the world’s best, or a volunteer at a Go-Ride Club that wants to celebrate the Tour de France visiting our shores this year – then get stuck into the Go-Ride Tour!

In July, Go-Ride clubs across the country will be invited to stage cycling events as part of the Go-Ride Tour, which are open to any novice riders who have been inspired by their cycling heroes - riders from clubs as well as young people who love to cycle and want to get involved with cycle sport.

To find your nearest event, keep an eye on the events calendar, which will soon be populated with lots of Go-Ride Tour events taking place across the country.

The Go-Ride Tour is a fantastic way to get on your bike and get involved in the excitement of the Tour de France 2014. Each event will be different, but many will involve the chance to compete in a race. Limited edition Go-Ride Tour prizes will be awarded to riders on the day.

Go-Ride Tour events are exciting opportunities for young people that are taking place in July to celebrate one of the world’s greatest cycle races visiting our shores. Go-Ride cycling clubs across the country are hosting their very own Go-Ride Tour events, so there is sure to be an event happening in your area.

All events will take place in a fun and safe environment and will be led by club volunteers and coaches trained by British Cycling.

Go-Ride clubs are the best place for a young person to pursue their love of cycling, and what could be better than getting involved in the excitement of the Tour de France. To find your nearest event, use the calendar on the right and click on the event listing for full details.

This year, the greatest road race in history will arrive in the UK and young people across the country will be inspired to get on their bikes and feel the thrill of cycling.

To build upon this excitement, Go-Ride clubs can get involved by hosting their very own ‘come and try’ Go-Ride Tour cycling event.

Be part of the Tour de France legacy and make the most of this opportunity to give young riders an experience they won’t forget. Participating Go-Ride clubs will receive an exclusive package of Go-Ride Tour resources and prizes.

Membership competition

Membership competition

Clubs participating in the Go-Ride Tour are invited to sign up as many new British Cycling members as possible. The Go-Ride Club in each British Cycling region that signs up the most new British Cycling members in July and August will win a British Cycling Jersey signed by the Great Britain Cycling Team.

If you are a member of a Go-Ride club, membership to British Cycling is free for the first year. For more information about British Cycling membership.
