Eastlands Velo Cycling Club is inviting disabled youth riders, between the ages of 10 to 16, the opportunity to take part in a Disability Track Cycling Open Day. The event will take place on Monday 26th August 2013, 8am to 2pm at the National Cycling Centre, Manchester.

If you want to learn how to to ride the track that Sir Chris Hoy and Dame Sarah Storey trained on every week, then this is your opportunity. The Eastlands Velo Cycling Club supports visually impaired and hearing impaired riders and has a number of qualified coaches and volunteers who will be on hand throughout the day to help and guide you.

You'll have the opportunity to get involved in some mock races, helping your team to win points and potentially medals. When it’s not your turn on the track, cheer on your team mates or have a go on the Watt Bikes.

Riders will be provided with a two wheeled track bike or tandem and a helmet. Cycling shoes will also be available to try.

The open day will cost £5. To confirm Eastlands Velo can support your disability and book a place, please contact Eastlands Velo Disability Coach John Daly (j.daly520@ntlworld.com).
