Report: Muddy Monday Mountain Bike League 4

On Monday 24 June Barnesbury CC hosted round 4 of the Muddy Monday Go-Ride Racing series - 28 riders took part at Gallagher Park in Bedlington. With cloudy dry conditions the riders tackled the 3 event test with gusto.



Ride of the night came from Grace Castle of Newcastle Phoenix, who won the time trial, skill race and coming a very close second to Daniel Holmes of Tyneside Vagabonds in the under 10 race. The competition was fierce in the under 12 race with 14 riders. Jack Nicholson from Morpeth Road Primary SCC took top honours on the night with consistent performances throughout the evenings competition. Miikael Puusepp  made it a Morpeth Road Primary SCC first and second for the newly formed Go-Ride school club. Current g series leader Charles Lewis of Newcastle Phoenix cam in third on the night. Joe Hodgson from host club Barnesbury CC, having had mechanical trouble in the mass start race had to settle for fourth.

The next round in the series will take place on Monday 1 July.  Remember the best five races count towards the overall total and the final overall standings.  For further information, please visit the club website here.
