Lichfield-born Capewell was a prominent rider at youth and junior level, claiming numerous national titles in the sprint events.
She made her Great Britain debut at the 2015 UEC Under-23 and Junior European Track Championships in Athens, narrowly missing out on a medal with a collection of fourth and fifth-place finishes.
She did make the podium a year later, in Montichiari, winning two bronze medals in the 500m time trial and team sprint, alongside Lauren Bate.
Capewell made the step up to the Great Britain Cycling Team Senior Academy later in 2016, and reinforced her potential with her first national titles – in the keirin and team sprint – a few months later, which led to her being named in the Great Britain team for the 2017 European championships.
She has been a fixture in and around the team since, and domestically, added another national title (sprint) to her collection in 2019.
