Lora's Profile

Lora suffers from a hereditary sight loss condition which also affects her two brothers and her mother. When she was just five years old she lost her sight leaving her with only light perception and she relies on her guide dog Libby, to get around.

Lora’s first major achievement was winning a silver medal in the pursuit with t Fiona Duncan at the 2011 Para-Cycling World Championships in Italy.

At the London Paralympic Games, Lora and Fiona finished fourth in both the kilo and pursuit on the track, and on the road they finished seventh in the road race and eighth in the time trial.

At the 2013 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships in Canada, Lora won the time trial gold medal and took silver in the road race, both with pilot Corrine Hall.

In 2014, the pairing came fourth in the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Aguascalientes. They then got their 2014 Road World Cup campaign off to a strong start by winning both the road and time trial events at the first round in Italy, and they replicated this result at the second round in Spain. They enjoyed another successful world championship event in 2014, winning the road race and taking the bronze medal in the time trial.

In 2015, Lora paired up with pilot Lauryn Therin for the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Apeldoorn, Holland, finishing fourth in the pursuit.

in 2016, Lora and Corrine won their first medal together at a track world championships, taking a bronze medal in the pursuit.

They then travelled to Belgium for the tandem tour, finishing in second place overall. They then moved on to Ostend for the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup where they won silver in both the road race and time-trial.
