Kyle joined British Cycling’s BMX Academy when it was re-established in December 2011. He was selected as the reserve BMX rider for Team GB for the London Olympic Games 2012.
At the first round of the 2013 UCI BMX SuperCross World Cup in Manchester in April, Kyle finished sixth overall in the time-trial super final and got through to the quarter finals of the supercross event.
At the same event in 2014, Kyle made it through to the finals and finished fifth overall, beating some of the big names in BMX in the process.
In 2016, Kyle made his first World Cup podium when he won the silver medal in Manchester behind fellow Great Britain Cycling Team BMXer Liam Phillips.
