About the Event

Info for Riders

**ENTRIES AVAILABLE ON THE DAY HOWEVER WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THERE WILL BE TIMING CHIPS AVAILABLE** There are two routes available; Long route - 50 miles and Short route - 26 miles. Both are challenging without being leg breaking! Reg started his cycling in the 1930s with the CTC Bury Group and would undoubtedly have ridden many of the roads included in this sportive. The first 10 miles of both routes is predominately uphill. The longer route then continues to Hoghton Tower, before passing through the rolling countryside around Anglezarke. The route then ascends Winter Hill to Bradshaw with a final climb to Affetside. The final few miles is a steady descent back into Tottington. The shorter route follows the Roman road back to Edgworth with several short but steep testers before rejoining the main route on the final climb from Bradshaw to Affetside. Much of both routes give panoramic views of the rolling Lancashire hills. Please note that there is limited car parking space. For more informa
