Event Overview

With 2 rides to choose from – 100 miles or 100km – the Wiltshire Falling Leaves offers riders a chance to head toward the end of the season in some stunning scenery, on quiet lanes passing some fantastic landmarks and with a few tests to challenge their fitness.

Notable landmarks include

  • Lacock famed its National Trust Abbey and used in filming for numerous Hollywood films,
  • Compton Bassett and it’s manor house once owned by Robbie Williams,
  • Westonbirt Arboretum which should offer a stunning sight of autumnal leaves and colours,
  • Badminton House famed for the annual 3 day event Horse Trials, and
  • Castle Coombe Village which is simply a stunning example of a quintessential British ‘chocolate box’ village complete with babbling brook running through it’s centre.

The 2 routes both start with the climb of Bowden Hill after 10 miles with stunning views from the top and the longer Epic then heads in to South Gloucestershire with climbs out of Nailsworth and a good test out of Uley (1.5m at average of ?%) at around the halfway point.

There will be well stocked feed stations on route.  Toilets and ample parking available at the start and finish HQ.

Mechanical support will be available at the HQ prior to the start and riders will be able to purchase essential supplies if you’ve forgotten to pack them.

Our event partners, Total Fitness Bath, will offer limited and appropriate mechanical assistance on the road side to get you going again should repair be feasible.  The 'broom wagon' will also ensure all riders get safely back to the HQ should you incur a non-repairable mechanical.
