Event Summary

Event Overview

You've heard of the saying you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs? - well you just can't create a picturesque bike ride in the Peak District, taking in some of the country's toughest cycling climbs and favourite beauty spots, without creating an awesome cycling challenge! That's the essence of Wiggle Tour of the Peak. It'll take your breath away in more than one sense. For 2013 we limit this ride to 1,200 places; but each year it fills to capacity. We've continued to adopt the popular springtime slot with it’s bright greens replacing the reds and golds of autumn. There's an inviting short route option for those who are a little more cautious with their hilly sportives – it proved very popular last year and we expect some riders will have ‘graduated’ to the medium or even the longer option. What hasn't changed is the fact that when you complete Wiggle Tour of the Peak you will have taken on a seriously challenging bike ride in some of Britain's most beautiful mountain and moorland countryside.

It's not only the biggest sportive in The Peak but 'Tour veterens' tell us it's the toughest in Britain as well! After all it's the only sportive which takes in the three Peak District trophy climbs of Cat & Fiddle, Winnats and Holme Moss - plus many other climbs we could mention. There's simply nothing else like it.
