Location: Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire
Preview: Kilo To Go

Taking a closer look at (Sunday 7 April) and Sunday 12 May), you’ll see that each of the long routes are roughly 90 miles but quite different challenges. Both unique challenges in their own right; but lend themselves perfectly to a structured build-up to a major June goal like the truly awesome challenge of .

Last year the rider limit was filled way before the event took place so we do advise you to book early. What’s more, it’s the only Peak District sportive challenge to include all three ‘trophy climbs’ of Cat & Fiddle, Winnats Pass and Holme Moss. For such a challenging Peak District ride in June, that packs in 3,500m of ascent across the 90+miles option, we suggest riding ‘Mercia’ in April, and ‘Weaver’ in May as an exciting, challenging, measurable, and enjoyable way of getting the right preparation under your belt. Remember, these events have several route options; so no matter which route is your ultimate goal at Wiggle Tour of the Peak, ‘Mercia’ and ‘Weaver’ are the perfect solution for building up all that early season prep.

For the first ever Wiggle Motion in Mercia sportive challenge, the event filled to capacity with 800 riders. There are two exciting routes, slightly revised but we think significantly improved from last year. There’s 92 miles or 53 miles around South Staffordshire and Shropshire. Both routes depart from the prestigious Aldersley Leisure Village HQ and head off to the climb up to the tranquil forest of Cannock Chase. Then it's a gentle open descent and easy cruise to the feed station via some of the quietest South Staffordshire lanes. The 92 miles route takes riders 'all around the Wrekin' - the historic West Mercian Beacon Hill, then down to the Severn Valley and onto UNESCO world heritage site, Ironbridge. It was this place that got the modern industrial world in motion!

WIGGLE YORKSHIRE WEAVER is a brand new Yorkshire sportive challenge from KILOTOGO. Just like stage 1 of the 2014 Tour de France, its set totally within Yorkshire - with 2 challenging route options, iconic climbs and picturesque scenery from the first to last pedal-stroke. The routes start and finish in the beautiful Aireville Park in the Yorkshire mill town of Skipton. Be assured, this is no ordinary sportive bike ride – you’ll be criss-crossing the route of the 2014 Tour de France stage 1 route and, to a lesser extent, stage 2. We’ve designed routes that show off the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, take you past some of Yorkshire’s magnificent woollen mill towns.
