Event Overview
Who will be crowned King of the Hill?
Riders battle it out to find the King of the Hill up a 1km tarmac climb, part of the National Trust's Cotehele Estate.
The event starts at 10am with every rider putting in a qualifying run. Qualifying run times will be assembled into categories and the the King of the Hill battle commences.
A dual eliminator hill climb with only the fastest riders moving through to the next round and the losers left to get behind their team mates and cheer.
Timetable:
10am - Qualification runs.
12pm - Kid's Fun races (Under 16s can ride for free)
1pm - King of the Hill Elimination begins.
4pm - Approx finish time and winners crowned!
For spectators you'll be able to get right in on the action as the riders battle it out on the climb. But if lung bursting action isn't enough Cotehele House will open, there'll be food available at the National Trust's cafes and there's loads of nice walks around the Estate.
We'll have prizes available for the winning men and women and also a few fun spot prizes too.
As there's no perfect hill climbing bike you're welcome to run any bike you like; road bike, mountain bike, track bike, fixie - run what you brung!
