This years edition of the famous Guildford Town Centre Races hosted by Charlotteville Cycling Club returns on Wednesday 9th July 2025.  We are Round 3 of the British Cycling National Circuit Series and are delighted that CANYON are once again our headline sponsor.  

We are as ever grateful to our sponsors without whom these races are impossible to put on.  As well as CANYON we are also supported by Cycle Exchange, Greyfriars Vineyard, Foran and Orbea.  Rapha are also supporting us again and we pleased to be part of their new Super League of events which they have created for 2025.

Held on a short and fast circuit which takes in the historic cobbled High Street (they are actually setts, but we prefer cobbles

), a sweeping descent of North Street and back up the paved Market Street.  All of this is set against the stunning backdrop of the Surrey Hills. Don't be fooled by the short circuit length - you will be on the limit from the start and you need great skills for the fast and technical corners.

The evening commences with a series of Youth races from U8's.

The U8's are followed by two separate Youth races for U10/U12 and then U14/U16 - and will continue to use the longer circuit that we trialled in 2023 for the national series.  This means we can increase the rider numbers (60 riders in total for U10/12 race and 70 riders in total for U14/16 race).

The youth races are followed by the Local Heroes Open 3rd Cat race - also on the extended course with an increased field size - 3rd Cat women who don't fancy riding the National Series Race are welcome to enter this race.

The support races are followed by the National Circuit Series races; Women (Nat A E/1/2/3) and Open (Nat A E/1/2). 

The circuit is fast and technical and offers one of the few opportunities in the UK to race a town centre criterium with some cobblestones thrown in to add to the excitement.  The races attract a strong field of riders but above all the focus is on atmosphere, entertainment and a great evening out with friends and family.

Come early, bring your friends and family, watch the youth races as well as the senior races, have dinner in the nearby restaurants and cafes and enjoy our historic Town Centre.

Important note for entrants:

• All entries must be on line using the BC system - there will be no entry on the line.
• Selection for the National Series events will be made by BC in accordance with the National Series selection criteria.
• The event is often oversubscribed and for races outside of the National Series events it is the organisers discretion who is accepted to race.  The circuit is very technical and rider results on the BC system will be taken into account when accepting/rejecting riders.
• The youth races have a maximum field size of 70 riders (A/B) and 60 (C/D), and the organisers will balance entries across age categories and also the split between boys and girls.

• Refunds are at the discretion of the Event Organiser and will not include any applicable BC online fees for entries or refunds.
