Event Overview
The National Road Race Championships will take place on Sunday 29 June, starting and finishing on Aberystwyth seafront.
After a presentation start on the seafront, the road races will head out of town towards Y Gors as far as Trawsgoed on a picturesque yet testing 23.4km anti-clockwise loop, heading back towards Aberystwyth passing Abermad.
With a maximum gradient of 9.1% at the beginning of each lap, the peloton will be thinned out as the action moves onto the finishing circuit after three laps for the women's race and five laps in the men’s race.
The finishing circuits of 12.4km - four for the women’s and five for the men’s race - use the start and finish point on the seafront as its central focus, running along almost the entirety of the promenade, past the old college and the castle grounds, before a technical section through the old harbour before looping out over Trefechan bridge.

About the Event
Info for Riders
The closing date for entries is midnight on the 1st June. No late entries shall be considered or permitted.
Please read the eligibility and selection criteria in advance of entry.
Riders withdrawing after the closing date or failing to start shall not be eligible for a refund. Withdrawals before the closing date will only incur the £1 admin fee.
Where events are oversubscribed, a reserve list may be established. The number of places on the reserve list shall not exceed 15% of the maximum declared field size.
Once published, the start list, including any reserves, shall be final, and shall not be amended or supplemented.
Team Managers are reminded that the team entry provision available to national series events does not apply. There is no limit to the number of riders that can be entered from any one team, and substitutions are strictly prohibited – any rider withdrawing or failing to start may NOT be replaced by another rider from the same team.
Neither British Cycling nor the appointed event organiser will enter into any correspondence regarding race selections.
