Event Overview
Fixed wheel track bike racing on a 333m oval grass track.
Junior/Adult Open riders are split into groups A & B to allow riders of similar ability to compete together and to allow an entry point for novice riders. All riders may choose to race in group A only. If a rider holds a 4th Category race licence, or 3rd Category race licence with no points from this and recent years, they may choose to race in group B only (approval at discretion of the organiser). Riders will therefore race in either group A or B, but not both. British Cycling points will be awarded only in group A.
National Short Track & Endurance Series races are open to all adult riders.
Our aim is to hold separate Open group A, Open group B, Female & Youth category races but we may need to combine races if numbers dictate.
Timetable:
11:00 – 11:30 Sign-on & course practice.
11:45 Race briefing.
12 noon Race start.
Prize allocation:
Open/Female National Short Track/Endurance Series (1st £15, 2nd £10, 3rd £5)
Open group A/Open group B/Female Omnium (1st £15, 2nd £10, 3rd £5)
Adult & Junior 2 lap Handicap (1st £15, 2nd £10, 3rd £5)

Grass track weekly practice sessions: all welcome. Held at the Godschalk Grass Velodrome (Small Gains Lane, Off Station Road, Ashwell, SG7 5LT ///tadpole.quick.cars) Monday evenings @7pm (May – August). Non club members £5 per session. Limited number of bikes available to borrow.
