Event Overview

This is the 1st race in the PDQ Race Series 2025.

Please note, this event is being held on Tuesday 20th May 2025 at Odd Down Cycle Circuit, on the purpose built 1.5km road circuit at the Odd Down Sports Ground, Bath, BA2 2PR.

All dates of the series are as follows:

Week 1 – 20/05/25  - (Women 2/3/4/J, Masters C+ Men)
Week 2 – 3/06/25 - (Women 2/3/4/J, Masters C+ Men)
Week 3 - 17/06/25 - (Women 2/3/4/J, Masters C+ Men)
Week 4 - 1/7/25 - (Women 2/3/4/J, Masters C+ Men)

This evenings race Program: 


- 18:45 - Women 2/3/4/J Riders – (45 mins)

- 19:45 - Masters Men C+ - (45 mins)


*All race durations and start times are subject to change due to factors including light and weather conditions, as well as the progression of other events in the program. 


 

Overall Series Competition - Women's 2/3/4/J and Master Mens race:

  • Points allocated - 50 points to the winner of each round, down to 1 point for 50th place
  • Every round of the 4 races will count towards the overall series
  • Overall series leader and winners jerseys.
  • Annual Shield to the winner of each overall Series
  • Prizes for overall in series: 1st to 6th place
  • There will be on the night prizes and podium for top 3 finishers as well as overall series prizes.
  • Prizes for overall in series 1st in age category for Masters Men: 40-50yr, 50-60yr, 60-70yr, 70+yr
  • Prize for overall in series best 4th category rider in Masters Men
  • Prizes for overall in series 1st in 3rd, 4th and Junior category riders for Women 2/3/4/J race series
  • Prize for overall in series 1st over 40 year old rider for Women 2/3/4/J race series

 

Sprints Series Competition - Women 2/3/4/J race and Master Mens race:

  • There will be 2 intermediate sprints per race at roughly 15 minutes and 30 minutes. 
  • Points are allocated 5, 3, 2, 1 to the riders crossing the line 1st to 4th in each intermediate sprint.
  • In the event of a tie on sprint points the winner will be the rider who has won the most primes. If that is also equal it will come down to finish race positions.
  • Overall sprints competition leader and winners jerseys

 

Entry fee via the British Cycling online entry system for all races is £15 + £1 booking fee. The Day Entry fee will be £20. Online Entry will close the day before the event at midnight. Places in all races are available on a first come-first served basis and there is no guarantee of the availability of Day Entries.

This year we are also offering a discounted series entry, Save yourself £7 compared to entering each individual round, Just select the series entry when at the checkout/ Payment section.

PLEASE NOTE: For riders who do not have a full race licence there are additional licence fee costs per race, these will be applied at checkout:

  • If you are not a BC member or you have BC Bronze membership then you will be paying £10 extra on top for your entry fee (this should be applied at checkout)
  • If you have a Silver or Gold BC membership but only a provisional licence and not a full licence then you will be paying £5 on top of your entry fee (this should be applied at checkout)

Please note that the site management still do not want cycling shoes to be worn in the pavilion. We appreciate that this is inconvenient but this policy applies across all sports including rugby and football etc. Sign on will be located in the main pavilion. Please exit the circuit promptly following your race, to ensure the race program can continue without becoming affected by light conditions. Riders waiting to enter the circuit, please leave space for riders to exit.
