Bath Cycling Club Road Race are once again looking forward to welcoming riders to the 9th edition of their road race. This time we will be once again using the challenging Stowey Circuit.

The morning race will be an Open Regional A event that is the penultimate race in the South League.  The event is open to riders from all clubs.

The afternoon race will be a Women's National B Race incorporating the Women's National Masters Road Race Championship for all categories.

Open road circuit of just over 10 km, for 8 laps.

The circuit has an 80m climb at the end of each lap, with the remainder of the circuit generally undulating; a race for those who like hillier terrain.

The neutralised roll out from the HQ goes up the climb to the start/finish at KM 0. There will be then 8 further laps to an uphill finish.

SPECIAL NOTES FOR THE WOMEN'S RACE

The Women's race will include both a National B event and the Women's Masters Nationals - Category A-G+.

Please note.

• If you wish to be entered in the Women's Masters Nationals you must enter the correct category
• As per BC regulations entries for the Women's Masters Nationals must close 28 days before the event - there will be NO entries after this time either on-line or off line.
• After that date riders are welcome to enter the National B race but will not be competing for National jerseys even though their age might have made them eligible..
• The race number will indicate who is in each category.
• The race will be 8 laps of the 10km circuit, but we will have to manage the length of the convoy and therefore some riders may be stopped early and their result will be recorded appropriately.
• Any riders more than 10 minutes behind the leader as they pass through the start/finish line will be given the bell and shown one lap to go.  This will allow them to contest for any position with the riders that they are racing with.
• All riders will be giving a finishing position with chip timing so that we can award the National Jerseys and medals for all categories.

FREE ENTRY

In order to make the race more accessible to younger riders I will be offering up to 10 FREE places in both races to any U23 or Junior riders from the South, South West and Wales regions who would like to enter the race. South League Open Regional A Race

The race is the part of the South League.

• The South League for 2025 will be a 8 event rounds.
• All riders from any club or team registered in the South Region will be eligible to score points.
• A rider’s best results from five races will count towards their total points.
• The leader’s jersey will be awarded during the rider briefing ahead of every round.
• Final awards with trophies will be after the last round:
1. South League Champion
2. Club’s award
3. 3rd Cat award
4. 4th Cat award
