Becontree Wheelers have previously promoted road races such as Essex Trophy, based on Paris Roubaix, that formed part of the then National Series, Tour of mid Essex, part of the Junior National Series and once ran as the National Junior Road Race Champs and Romford to Harlow which also featured in the then National Series.

This race is being promoted to celebrate the club's 100th anniversary. The race is being supported by past and present members of the club, please join in the celebrations by supporting the race and stay around for birthday cake after the race.
