Event Overview

This opportunity will be equivalent to the Club Clusters of Training Session (CCT) that are referenced in the GB Cycling Team Performance Pathway. The session will cater for riders currently attending RSR (Regional School of Racing) & and for all Youth A & B riders striving to get to RSR.

The aims of the sessions are to deliver to riders discipline specific skills in a structured session that also aims to push physical limits & develop riders physical condition, as well as increase knowledge of track competition strategy.  The sessions are single hit sessions that riders can attend and accommodate into their training weeks as best suits them - they do not have to attend all sessions to gain benefit from them.

Info for Riders

Entries open 6am Tuesday, 2 weeks ahead - priority to those entered after 1 week. This session is Standing Start/TT Efforts.  (These sessions rotate 5 skill objectives • Standing Starts/TT Efforts • Flying Efforts & Gap Rushing • Team Pursuit • Madison session 1 • Madison Session 2 - increasing physical workload each time.) 

For 2017 riders should be Youth A, or B. • Be already, or getting ready to be, racing on track  • Be Confident at riding indoor track in making changes in pairs & riding at the top of the track.THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO RIDE ABOVE THE BLUE SESSION.

Rider selection is more rigorous as the five skills progress - less riders are selected for Madison. Riders observed as not yet at the standard required will be advised.  Any questions? Please contact Richard Lodge
