Dear riders,   Regretfully we had to cancel Sunday’s road race on the Hatfield Heath course due to the extensive and un-notified road works on the main road. We spent a lot of yesterday exploring the options of using three other local courses but due to sportives in the area and other local council issues sadly they cannot be used.   However, in the interests of promoting a National B event and giving all the riders an opportunity to race this weekend, we have secured Hog Hill circuit at Redbridge Cycling Centre as an alternative and will be promoting this on Sunday instead.   The ECCA Road Race Championships will not be included as part of the event.   All riders currently entered into the road race including reserves are guaranteed an entry into the Hog Hill race and will automatically be transferred to the new start sheet. You do not need to do anything else. Any rejected riders from the original entry will need to re-enter the new race.   Start time will be 10.00am. Sign on will open from 09.00am. The event will be 40 laps with a maximum field of 120 riders from E/1/2/3 categories. 68 riders, including reserves, were pre-entered into the event as a road race. Prize money will remain the same with a £75 first prize. Entries on the day will be accepted.   If you want to withdraw from the field please notify me as soon as possible by 12.00pm (midday) on Saturday 30^th April and you will be refunded your entry fee. If you do not contact me by this time you will not be refunded and we will assume you are going to race.   We will notify all riders on Saturday afternoon after the cut off time above of the number of riders entered.
