Yorkshire cyclo-cross is set to break all records for rider numbers in 2011 at this weekend's Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross event.

This weekend's Three Peaks will see a new record for Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross

With Todmorden from the 2010-11 Winter Series, all the Summer Series events and three events from the 2011-12 Winter Series already complete, it will only take 16 of the 650 riders penciled in to tackle the 2011 Three Peaks race to tip rider numbers over 2,000 and end the month with over 2,600 for the year and the likelihood of the figures breaking the magic 4,000 for the first time. The three opening rounds of the Winter Series have passed 200 riders each with 100+ vets/women and 50-70 kids swelling the numbers.

With October bringing the Rapha Super Cross events to Huddersfield as well as the Doncaster Wheelers Supercross, it promises to be a fantastic season of cyclo-cross action ahead. To find a cyclo-cross event near you check out the Events Calendar.
