We can today announce the dates and venues for the 2024/25 cyclo-cross National Trophy Series and National Cyclo-cross Championships, with national champions’ jerseys to be awarded at Cyclopark in Gravesend.

The National Trophy Series will be contested over five rounds, each of which will be listed as a C2 event on the UCI calendar, with the first round taking pace on a riders’ favourite course at Moorways in Derby on the weekend of 5-6 October.

The series will then return to Gypsies Green in South Shields after successful events in 2022 and 2023 before round three heads to Torbay Velopark in Paignton on 16-17 November.

Clanfield in Hampshire will make its debut in the National Trophy Series over the 7-8 December, having previously hosted two standalone UCI C2 races, and is expected to become a fan and rider favourite with its tough elevation. The fifth and final round of the series will conclude in the new year in Tong, Bradford over the 4-5 January.

The season will culminate in the national championships, which will take place over the weekend of 11-12 January at Cyclopark in Gravesend, after the conclusion of the National Trophy Series.

Cyclopark CEO, Jonny Hamp, added:

“Hosting the National Cyclo-Cross Championships in January 2025 is hugely positive for Cyclopark as a venue and as the charity that operates it. We continue to evolve the venue to be the hub for cyclo-cross in the southeast with excellent facilities and coaching to develop the next generation of riders.  Major events like this also help to support our wider charitable activities for this region and the cycling communities.”

Race Director for the National Cyclo-cross Championships, Bruce Sandell, said:

“We are delighted to be hosting the 2025 National Cyclo-cross Championships at Cyclopark in January next year. This will be our second time, following the 2019 races which saw Tom Pidcock win his first senior national championships jersey.”

British Cycling’s Interim Sports and Participation Director, Amy Gardner, said:

“We’re delighted to release the dates and venues for the 2024/25 National Trophy Series and are very excited to be returning to Gravesend for the National Cyclo-cross Championships after some fantastic work from the organising team to deliver such a popular and challenging series.

“Our national cyclo-cross events continue to welcome huge numbers of riders to our start lines, across the age categories. With the National Trophy Series spanning from South Shields to Torbay, "I’m really proud that once again, we’re able to give so many riders a chance to compete and potentially go on to emulate the feats of Tom Pidcock, Zoe Backstedt and others before them.”

After taking on board rider feedback, the schedule for each round of the National Trophy Series will return to the original format for the upcoming series, with the youth and veteran races on Saturday and junior and elite races on Sunday. There will also be the introduction of a new ‘fun’ category, designed to introduce people to the sport of cyclo-cross and is a non-ranking race open to anyone.
