British cycling in conjunction with the Youth Sport Trust are providing FREE 4 day cycle training instructor courses (usual price £595) across England for candidates wanting to work as Bikeability Instructors within School Sport Partnerships. There are limited courses and places available so book soon to receive this free training.

Above: Meet the British Cycling Cycle Training Team!

Free training places can only be claimed by a Partnership Development Manager completing a Training Request Form for places allocated to their Partnership, and each individual candidate completing an Application Form. The course provides both practical and classroom based activities enabling the instructors to gain a wide variety of experiences and develop their skills. There is no formal written assessment on the course however there are a number of assessed practical tasks. Upon completion of all course assessment tasks instructors will be registered as a Provisional National Standard Instructor.

Bikeability is cycling proficiency for the 21st century. The three levels of the Bikeablity programme enable riders to be able to ride safely and confidently on modern roads. The instructor training courses will be run by British Cycling trained cycle training instructors and will therefore provide the additional benefit of free British Cycling membership to all instructors.
