British Cycling has confirmed that the 2019 HSBC UK | National Downhill Championships will take place at Llangynog’s Revolution Bike Park.

The prestigious red, white and blue national champions’ jerseys will be contested at the venue over the weekend of July 20 and 21.

The championships last took place at the venue in 2017, when Greg Williamson and five-time world champion Rachel Atherton claimed the elite titles.

Mike Marsden, of event organiser Borderline Events, said: “Borderline Events are proud to have been awarded the HSBC UK | National Downhill Championships for the seventh year. I'm really proud of the team behind the event, whose drive and passion for the sport will help us deliver a world class event alongside British Cycling and Revolution Bike Park.

“We are working closely with the team at Revolution to make sure that we offer riders a challenging and fun course truly befitting of the national championships, as well as providing a weekend of entertainment and fun for riders and non-riders alike.”

British Cycling has also confirmed details of the HSBC UK | National Downhill Series, which are as follows:

Round 1: Rheola – April 13-14

Round 2: Fort William – May 11-12

Round 3: Rhyd-y-Felin – June 22-23

Round 4: Hopton - August 17-18

Round 5: Ae Forest – September 21-22

The second round of the series, at Fort William, will be a UCI category 1 event, with UCI points on offer.
