Sustrans' Change Your World Campaign Returns

Posted: 9th June 2010

Between 1 June and 4 July 2010, sustainable transport charity Sustrans is running its annual 'Change Your World'.

The campaign asks people to pledge a journey by foot, bike or public transport. Each journey pledged will count towards an exciting ‘Around the World' challenge.

To get involved all you need to do is pledge to make a local journey by foot, bike or public transport, which , collectively will clock up the mileage needed to travel all the way around the world by the first week of July - all 24,900 miles. Good news is that they're already way ahead already - with the total standing at 47,894 just eight days into the month-long campaign.

Sustrans' simple message is that if we all choose to make more journeys without the car, we would enjoy healthier journeys, cleaner air, quieter roads and better places and spaces to move through and live in. The campaign shows that by taking action together we can collectively make a big difference.

Go to www.changeyourworld.org.uk to pledge a journey made by foot, bike or public transport. As a ‘thank you' from Sustrans, everyone who gets involved will be automatically entered into a prize draw.

In addition to pledging, people can also opt to Take Action and email their local MP or AM, to ask for more investment in walking, cycling and public transport for local journeys.
