Robert McCarthy (Pedal Heaven) came through a tough sprint finish to take victory in round seven of the Army Cycling Union Ludgershall Winter Series on Saturday.
The 27-year-old was among the forerunners of the race throughout, with lots of attacks being put in.
One such attack saw a breakaway four laps from the end, although it was quickly reined in on the penultimate lap, setting up a sprint finish which McCarthy edged.
It was the same in all of the races on the day, and not even the promise of a £100 reward for anyone that managed to open up a gap of a minute or more could separate the fields.
In the category three race, it was Peter Banham (Fred Williams Cycles) who took the lead from David Barnaville (Felt Colbournes RT) and Stephen Campbell (Twickenham CC).
The category four races were split into two, with the odd and even numbered riders separated. Trevor Allen won the evens race but there was unwanted drama in the odds race as a huge crash on the second lap left one rider with a broken collarbone and another with a fractured shoulder. However, the race was completed and Ben Urquhart (Blazing Saddles) took first place.
