National Masters Road Race Championships
Event: 14-15 July 2012
Location: Chobham, Surrey


Following on from last year’s successful event, Central Region is promoting the British Cycling National Masters events over the weekend of 14and 15 July in the Chobham, Surrey area.

Races are as follows:-

  • Saturday 14  July @ 9.30 am G/H/I age group over 80 kms of the Valley End & Staple Hill circuits.
  • Saturday 14 July @ 1.30 pm E/F age group over 100 kms of the Valley End & Staple Hill circuits.
  • Sunday 15 July @ 9.00 am C/D age group over 120 kms. Kitsmead Lane, Ottershaw & Staple Hill circuits.
  • Sunday 15 July @ 1.30pm A/B age group over 140 kms. Kitsmead Lane, Ottershaw & Staple Hill circuits.

HQ will be Virginia Water Football Club, Crown Road, Virginia Water, Surrey, GU25 4HS

Races will be restricted to 60 riders per event and entries should via British Cycling’s on-line system.

This year’s A/B group will also be racing for the coveted Victor Berlemont trophy, first presented in 1951.

At the request of riders, a women's championships has been incorporated. Central Region has already seen three rounds of the Women’s Team Series in 2012 and this will be a great addition to what is gearing up to be a great weekend of racing.

The women's championships will be included and run alongside one of the Men’s events therefore organisers urge all 30+ women get their entries in via the online entry system. The course will be the same as for the 50+men.
