Nocturne Opens Circuit for London Festival of Architecture Ride

Posted: 15th June 2010

Families, commuters and Londoners are all invited to reclaim the streets in the heart of the City of London on Saturday 19th June and experience the thrill of riding on the Nocturne closed circuit. The famous course around Smithfield Market will be opened up between 15.00 and 16.30 to give the public the chance to ride safely on the closed roads, before the world's top pro riders take over in the evening for the Nocturne. Music and entertainment around the 1km closed circuit will keep the energy levels flowing all afternoon.

The ride is being hosted in association with the London Festival of Architecture Sky Rides and all participants will receive an exclusive high visibility pink bib, specially designed by the London Festival of Architecture.

And to break up the laps and keep the whole family entertained, the afternoon is packed full of other cycling attractions around Smithfield Market including Rollapaluza Roller Racing, the Red Bull Stand Off Competition and the Danish Cycling Federation's Children's Bicycle Workshops. The cycle-hungry masses will be fuelled by the St. Bartholomew's Food Fair, featuring top local food and drink traders.
