Event: 28th August 2011
Report: Monica Eden

Mountain bike racing for all ages comes to the North West this August bank holiday in the form of the Boggart Hole Clough Go-MTB races on August 28th 2011.

The undulating course also used for the popular MTB Midweek Madness series offers plenty of tricky single track and a couple of lung busting climbs. In the Youth categories there will be races for U12's, U14's and U16's preceding junior and senior racing. U12 riders will compete on a shortened version of the full circuit.

Signing on opens at 9:30am and racing begins at 10am. Riders will have the opportunity to ride the course between these times. Entry fees paid in advance are only £5 for youths, £8 for junior entries and £10 for senior riders of any category.

There will be prizes for the top three riders in each category including separate prizes for senior men and women. As the event is a Go-MTB race riders will not require a licence to take part so first time racers are encouraged to get involved, particularly in the youth categories.
