Yorkshire Region Looks To Appoint A New Regional Competition Administrator

For the last 12 months the Region has combined the role of General Secretary and Regional Competition Administrator with Keith Scott filling that one position. With the Region's growth in membership and number of events Keith now feels that he should step down from the RCA's position to focus solely on his work as General Secretary.

So the search begins for someone to step into this role, under an appointment that will be made by the Regional Board. Ideally suited to someone with daytime availability the role involves administering the Region's events programme. This would take in establishing the calendar of events, gaining police and highway approvals and the coordination of Commissaire appointments etc. It would be expected that the applicants should have a sound knowledge of competition and be an able and willing team player within a Region that takes a pro-active approach towards event promotion.

The person will be contracted by the Region to provide their services for which a nominal financial package and essentials such as computer, printer and phone etc will also be provided by the region.

The role becomes available in September and those interested should contact the Regional Chair Bob Howden.
