Thankfully, it was a sunny evening for the first ever BBM Revolution Go-Ride Race night. As a new club, everyone was nervous but excited at the inaugural racing event held at De Lacy Academy in Knottingley, West Yorkshire.

21 riders turned up for two races based on a cyclo-cross circuit (small course for the U8 riders, and a larger course for U10+). The first race was an individual time trial, and the pace was fast from the start.

The winners were Oscar Taylor 30.4s (U8 boys), Lydia Harrison 39.7s (U8 girls), Josh Coates 1m 58s (U10 boys), Louis Cook 2m 11s (U12 boys), Morgan Wilson 1m 47s (U12 girls) and Jacob Feetham 1m 34s (U14 boys).

Next was a lap race, with two laps for the U8’s, and three laps of the larger course for the U10+. Winners were Oscar Taylor (U8 boys), Lydia Harrison (U8 girls), Joel Harrison (U10 boys), Louis Cook (U12 boys), Morgan Wilson 1m 47s (U12 girls) and Jacob Feetham 1m 34s (U14 boys).

Everyone had a great night of racing and are all looking forward to Race #2 at the end of August.
