Junior Adam King geared up for the European Championships in Ipswich next weekend with a comfortable win in the main race of the day at the Foxley Cross/Welsh League Round 6 near Hereford on Sunday.
The 16-year-old Cardiff JIF rider took the heavy and slippery conditions in his stride to gradually ease away from Jonathan Pugh (CycleTec) to reverse their positions at the previous round.
Team-mate Matthew Thompson was the best of the chasers with Ian Jeremiah (also Cardiff JIF) getting the better of fellow Veteran Mark James (Team Jewson) on this occasion.
The promoting club's Paula Moseley rode strongly to take victory in the Women's race.
