Derbyshire On Line Bike Shop Supports National Race
Another local business has stepped in to help support the organisers of the 2011National Cyclo-Cross Championships. Zepnat Cycles are an online Cyclo Cross Specialist retailer based in Derbyshire. They pride themselves on being a one-stop resource for all things cyclo-cross and offer specialist advice on all levels of equipment for the sport. The championships are to be held in January at Derby’s Moorways Centre, and will provide two days of exciting racing.

Julian Gould from Matlock, who is co-founder of said, “We are very pleased to support the 2011 National Cyclo-Cross Championships in Derby. I know it will be a great event and many thanks go to John Holmes and his team at Derby Cyclo-cross for bringing this prestigious event to Derbyshire.” Gould himself organises local races and knows how difficult it is to keep standards high.

Organisers of the 2011 National Cyclo-cross Championships are pleased to continue their partnership with the Derby Brewing Company ( who produce award winning, hand crafted ales. The business was founded by Head Brewer Trevor Harris who ensures that over twenty five years brewing expertise going into every pint of ale produced. The brewery uses only the finest quality ingredients from around the world and the support from the company is one of the ingredients for the success of the championships.

Previously, Derby Brewing supported the previous two Derby National trophy races at Markeaton Park and Moorways Stadium. The launch for next year’s event was held at the Brewery Tap earlier in the year hosted by Paul Harris the company’s Sales and Marketing Director. Since then the company has purchased the Greyhound public house in Friar Gate, Derby. Trevor Harris said "as Derby's local Brewer we are proud to be associated with Cyclo-Cross National Championship coming to Derby. We look forward to providing much needed refreshment for all the fans & riders.

The championships will take place over two days on 8th and 9th of January 2011 at the Moorways Centre and will be organised by the experienced team from Derby Cyclo-cross. Derby Cyclo-cross is an amalgam of cyclo-cross enthusiasts across several Derbyshire clubs – Derby Mercury CC, South Pennine RC, Heanor Clarion CC and empella/ RT.
