Great Britain Cycling Team sprint duo, and Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup debutants, Laren Bate and Georgia Hilleard have qualified for the opening round of the women's team sprint.
The Senior Academy riders set a qualifying time of 34.944 seconds to qualify in eighth place for Sunday's first round.
Bate, who will race in the individual sprint tomorrow, showed that she was in fine form as she set the second fastest opening lap of the competition against a field packed with experienced, world-class riders.
Awesome racing tonight at the World Cup! Happy with a PB of 19.22 for my lap with second fastest lap of the competition but definitely more to give in the second round on Sunday Now to focus on the sprint tomorrow
