British Cycling has confirmed the team who will ride for Great Britain at the Tour de Yorkshire, taking place from 1-3 May 2015.

The young squad is made up predominantly from British Cycling’s Olympic Academy Programme and includes local riders Gabriel Cullaigh and Oliver Wood, whilst Leeds-born Josh Edmondson will guest ride with the team.

Team manager Keith Lambert said: “The Tour de Yorkshire represents a significant development opportunity for the under-23 academy riders and one which I know they’re all looking forward to.

"For them to take part in a Tour de France legacy race against some of the world’s best riders is a real exciting prospect and I’m hoping they will be able to learn from the British professionals such as Sir Bradley Wiggins, Ben Swift and Steve Cummings whilst in the peloton.”
