Flag-to-flag broadcast coverage for Road and Circuit races in Lincoln

British Cycling is pleased to today confirm the broadcast details for this week’s HSBC UK | National Road Championships in Lincoln, which will offer fans across the country flag-to-flag live coverage of the circuit and road races on GCN+, Eurosport Player and YouTube, alongside full event highlights on ITV4.

This year’s event will see the time-trial, circuit and road race championships brought together into the same week for the first time, with a stellar cast of riders including Mark Cavendish, Chris Froome and Alice Barnes, and fans not able to make it to Lincolnshire will be able to keep up to date with the action in the following places:

  • Road races (Sunday 17 October): Live coverage through GCN+, Eurosport Player and British Cycling’s YouTube channel (UK-only), plus a full highlights programme on ITV4 at 7pm on Tuesday 19 October.
  • Circuit races (Friday 15 October): Live coverage through GCN+, Eurosport Player and British Cycling’s YouTube channel (UK-only), plus a full highlights programme on ITV4 at 7pm on Monday 18 October.
  • Time-trials (Thursday 14 October): Updates through British Cycling social media channels, plus a full highlights programme on ITV4 at 7pm on Monday 18 October.

Coverage of the circuit and road races will be presented by Matt Barbet, with race commentary provided by Matt Stephens, Hannah Walker and Adam Blythe.

British Cycling Head of Sport and Major Events, Jonathan Day, said:

“We’re delighted to be able to offer extensive coverage of next week’s championships to fans across the country, highlighting our determination to raise the profile of our major domestic events and showcase the unique thrills of time-trial, circuit and road racing.”

Coverage of the events will be provided by Century Television, which has 15 years' of experience of working in cycling as host broadcaster for the AJ Bell Tour of Britain and Women’s Tour, Tour Series and Prudential RideLondon. Day added:

“Working alongside the experienced team at Century Television has enabled us to offer flag-to-flag coverage of all four of the circuit and road races, along with full highlights from the time-trials, and through their knowledge and expertise I’m confident that we’ll be able to showcase the iconic roads of Lincoln and electric atmosphere of the event like never before.”

  • 09:00 – Under-23 men
  • 10:30 – Under-23 women
  • 12:00 – Elite men
  • 15:30 – Elite women

Circuit races:

  • 17:30 – Women
  • 19:30 – Men

Road races:

  • 09:00 – Women
  • 13:00 – Men
