In May 2015, British Cycling began a five year partnership with Cervélo, with the bike manufacturer working with the Great Britain Cycling Team to provide frames and develop world leading bikes for the Rio and Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Cervélo, who have been making world-class bikes since 1995, are the elite road and track bike partner to the Great Britain Cycling Team. The research and development teams from both organisations have worked closely to design, develop, and manufacture the fastest track bikes in the world. 

The latest track bike from the team was unveiled in May 2016, ahead of the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games. The British-made bike - developed following hundreds of hours of wind tunnel testing, stress testing and computer simulation - is the most aerodynamic model the Great Britain Cycling Team has ever ridden, and despite being extremely light, is built to withstand the power and force produced by some of the world's best riders.
