The Northern Angel Sportive was a new event for 2012. Starting from the stunning Kirkley Hall, the route headed North West straight into the amazing Northumberland National Park where the sportive was centred.

At the enchanting and spectacular Harwood Forest the Fun route split off and the Epic and Standard routes circumnavigated the breathtaking Simonside Hills which provided a dramatic, jagged and constant background. The Epic route briefly split off once more to take in an extra northerly loop towards Kirdland Forest.

Below is a video of the event which attracted 400 riders on a dry but very windy day.
