Less than two weeks remain to register to join the third annual Ride for the 96.

It’s a great opportunity to raise money for some really great charities by riding 96km through countryside on the outskirts of Merseyside including challenging sections such as the infamous Billinge Lump.

Ride for the 96 is an annual charity cyclo sportive bike ride in memory of the 96 Liverpool FC fans who lost their lives 25 years ago in the Hillsborough stadium disaster on 15 April 1989. All entrance fees and sponsorship monies go to charity. In 2014 the primary charity is Alzheimer’s Society.

The 2014 Ride for the 96 will take place on Sunday 29th June 2014, starting and finishing at Sutton Leisure Centre in St. Helens, with a route that heads north into Lancashire around the top of Ormskirk and back South towards St. Helens.

Various entry options are available, including packs with Ride for the 96 cycling jerseys, and with Jamie Carragher signed Liverpool Football Club shirts and other memorabilia.
