This fabulous new sportive on Sunday June 8 in Shropshire is being run as part of the Longmynd Cycling Festival.

It takes in some of the best roads (and toughest?) climbs in Shropshire and Montgomeryshire ending with an ascent up Asterton Bank for a summit top finish.

You will have the choice of two routes, 92 miles (2000m ascent) and 55 miles (1600m ascent). These are well marked, with first aid cover, broom wagon, well stocked feed stations, finisher t-shirt, finisher times and certificates, and homemade refreshments at the finish.

The event starts at Carding Mill Valley, owned by the National Trust, who also play host to a free family cycling day the following Saturday.
