Try a Sportive Series 2014

This new exciting trio of events are aimed at all cyclists of any ability who want to ‘have a go’ at a road biking/sportive cycling event but don’t necessarily want to commit to a long distance or a ‘full blown’ event. These rides will suit beginners through to leisure riders looking for a sociable relaxing morning ride on predominantly quiet cycling friendly lanes. Any bike can be used so long as it’s roadworthy; don’t expect the rides to be flat though!

Ride 2 | Belper, Derbyshire | Sunday May 4th

Ride 3 | Foremark Reservoir, South Derbyshire | Saturday July 12th

For route details including climb on each event see www.darkwhitecycling.co.uk and follow the links.

Each British Cycling registered event has two route options of approximately 35 miles (56km) and 20 miles (32km). Whilst the distance is shorter than the standard sportive you can expect the same well signed routes, High5 supported feed stations, post event hot drinks/snacks, a comprehensive event guide (which will be emailed to all entrants before the event), SPORTident chip timing and well thought out cycle friendly routes as you would find on any of the longer Dark and White sportive series events.
