Location: Wakefield Hospice, Aberford Road, Wakefield
Taking in the challenging Dark Peak area of the Peak District – this beautiful Yorkshire route pulls together the classic climbs of Holme Moss, Snake Pass and The Strines - the finest of South Yorkshire cycling.
The Wakefield Hospice Sportive: The Dark Peak is a punishing challenge in aid of a great cause. This year’s event is limited to just 300 cyclists.
Organisers have three routes;
- Extreme 72 miles climbing 1,951 meters
- Hard 45 miles climbing 1,210 meters and
- 23 miles climbing 483 meters.
You can expect a well-marked route, stocked food stations, support vehicles, extensive free off road parking, event photography, plusChip timing is provided for the Extreme Route and can be added to the Hard or Moderate Routes at an additional costs.
You are invited to relax post-cycle in the Nuffield Health Club where the race will begin and finish – with free entry to their spa, café and changing facilities.
