Event: 10 August 2013
Location: Shugborough Hall, Staffordshire

Get involved in the inaugural Staffordshire Cycling Festival by entering ‘Stafford Goes Pedalling’, with a choice of 35 or 70 mile routes, just one part of a whole weekend of cycling action.

For criterium racing fans in the UK, parts of Staffordshire’s inaugural cycling festival might look a little familiar. This new two day event kicks off with an evening of racing in Stafford Town centre including the Pro/Elite Stafford GP, as well as a round of the British Cycling National Women's Series but that’s just the beginning of the action in 2013.

On Saturday 10 August the event moves to the stunning backdrop of Shugborough Hall for a new sportive event taking place in the day. Choose from a 35 mile ride if you're just getting into the sport or a 70 mile route that's a little more challenging, with a mixture of climbs, lanes and more open terrain to provide something for all types of cyclist.

All this is happening before the professionals once again take to the road in the evening for the inaugural Shugborough Kermesse, a two hour road race in and around the grounds of the hall to bring the curtain down on an exciting two days of action.

So whether you just want to watch, or fancy getting involved, organisers promise that there will be something for everyone in this year’s event and look forward to welcoming you to Staffordshire this August.
