Could this be you? Write about your best sportive experiences on and off the road
With the sportive season underway, we’re looking for two British Cycling members who are willing to blog their experiences as they prepare for and tackle the coming season of sportives.
You'll be joining our established team of three who have already written about their sportive experiences in the UK and beyond – from the Etape Caledonia to the Etape du Tour.
Who we're looking for
If you’re an aspiring sportiver who has already taken part in some challenge or group rides and you’re now looking to undertake your first Sportive in summer 2013 - we want to hear from you!
Similarly, if you’re about to embark on your first full year of sportive riding, we want to hear from you!
We love riding sportives and finding out more about the people who take part and make these events so special and inspiring; the key is that you are planning on riding this year and are willing to share your experiences.
What you win
Our chosen pair of bloggers will each receive free entry to up to five British Cycling registered sportive events and the loan of a high spec pocket camera that you’ll have the use of throughout the season, enabling you to capture those ‘magic’ sportive moments! You’ll also get a year’s subscription to CyclingPlus, with all your blogs appearing on Cycling Plus and British Cycling.
What we expect from you
In return we will need you to blog your experiences leading up to and during your season's events. You need to be planning on riding between three and five events in 2013 and for each event we will be looking for a blog of around 500 words on the event itself, plus some shorter snippets (around 200 words) on your training and preparation.
How to enter
To be in with a chance of becoming one of our sportive bloggers, you need to send us a 500 word blog, preferably with some pictures, detailing your experiences leading up to or during your latest sportive event. All entries must be sent in with a completed Rider Profile to email@example.com.
Remember - this competition is exclusive to British Cycling members, so please include your membership number when entering!
Entries have now closed and if you need some inspiration check out the blogs by Lorna, Gavin and Chris.
