With Saturday April 27 now firmly in sight, preparations for the 2013 Tour of Pembrokeshire are gathering momentum. There has been a massive response following the success of the 2012 event which, under clear blue skies, was enjoyed by more than 670 riders and dozens of helpers.

As we go to press, there are more than 1000 riders all set to enjoy the breath-taking coastline and hills, as well as he magical, friendly atmosphere that Pembrokeshire has to offer.

Entries to this year’s Tour of Pembrokeshire will close at 1100 riders, so if you’re thinking of entering, book now to avoid disappointment. (Spaces available as of February 28).

To make the most of the Tour weekend, lots of riders plan a short break with their family or friends, so that in addition to the cycling, they can enjoy the award winning beaches, coastal path and some of Pembrokeshire’s wonderful attractions; this year Folly Farm are providing free entry for riders’ children who will be able to enjoy the exploits of the penguins in the brand new Penguin Pool.

On Sunday April 28, following on from last year’s success, there will be another Magical History Tour Family Ride from Oriel y Parc to encourage children and riders of all abilities to get on their cycles.

The eight and 16 mile rides will be led by wardens from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and there will be a chance to win some interesting prizes from the competition they have devised.
