Following another successful running of the White Rose Classic sportive, organisers Ilkley Cycling Club presented a cheque for £1500 to Sue Ryder Care; a donation made possible thanks to rider entry fees from the 17 June sportive.

The cheque was presented to Andrew Wood from Sue Ryder Care and funds will go towards the foundation’s Manorlands hospice in Oxenhope, which provides specialist palliative care and treatment at home, or in the hospice, for people and their families who are suffering from serious illnesses.

Sue Ryder Care and Ilkley Cycling Club would both like to extend their thanks to all the riders who helped make the 2012 White Rose Classic a fantastic event and who raised so much money for a very worthy cause.
