The White Rose Classic is filling up fast with over 900 entries out of the 1000 places available already taken – so if you are thinking of riding this superb sportive, get your entries in quick before its full!

Hosted by lkley Cycling Club and firmly established as one of the 'must-do' sportive events, the White Rose Classic is planned to take place on the 17 June 2012 and is a true classic in every sense of the word. Taking you through the heart of the fabulously scenic Yorkshire Dales, it really is a showcase event for the very best the beautiful Yorkshire Dales has to offer.

Offering a choice of three challenging routes; 110 miles, 84 miles and 50 miles, the routes will be fully signed and each rider will receive a route map. Electronic timing is being provided by SportIdent with three well stocked feed-stations along for the long route, two for the medium and one for the short.

The epic long route takes in the fearsome climbs of Norwood Edge, Fleet Moss and Garsdale Head, finishing with a final ‘sting in the tail’ over Langbar. With over 3000m of ascent it really will be a challenge. The medium route is no pushover either at 84 miles and over 2000m of ascent.

The event headquarters will be the fantastic new facility at Ilkley Rugby Club at the edge of Ilkley, providing changing and showering facilities, ample parking, food and drink. At the finish venue there will be a free hot food for every rider, post ride masseur, cake stalls, ice cream vans and other family orientated entertainment along with trade stands.

The event will be supported by the Sue Ryder Cancer Care Charity who will receive 10% of the proceeds.
