The Sports Tourism Award recognises outstanding quality of Sports Tourism product or service in terms of overall customer experience, and commitment to encouraging sustained participation in sport. Spectator sport product such as festivals or major sporting events had to provide evidence of proactive initiatives to encourage audiences to participate in sport, such as taster or ‘come and try’ sessions.

Judges praised Bike Blenheim Palace for demonstrating high quality products and facilities, outstanding customer service and a commitment to innovation that has delivered a major impact.

Paul Orsi, Event Director at Bike Blenheim Palace comments: “We are delighted to receive a Sports Tourism award for Bike Blenheim Palace. As a one-day event we faced stiff competition from companies who provide sports services year round.
