Tetra Pak, one of the world's leading packaging solutions company, has launched a corporate challenge as part of the Etape Cymru, which takes place on 9th October 2011.

The Tetra Pak Challenge is a team-based element of the Etape Cymru, where companies have the unique opportunity to take part in a 100-mile sportive across North Wales on traffic-free roads. Taking up the challenge is a great way to motivate workforces to get fit and encourage interaction and healthy competition in your workplace.

The Etape Cymru is a tough new addition to the 2011 sportive calendar, with four major climbs and over 6000ft of climbing. The event will start and finish in at Tetra Pak's headquarters in Wrexham and pass through the Clwydian Range, an area of outstanding beauty. The route takes in several well-known climbs such as: Horseshoe Pass, The Shelf, The Garth and Worlds End.

Included in the Tetra Pak Challenge is a timed hill climb to the top of The Horseshoe Pass, which offers some of the most spectacular views in Wales. The team with the best-combined time will win a day's training a Newport Velodrome followed by dinner, bed & breakfast at The Celtic manor.

Team Sky's Geraint Thomas who is backing the Etape Cymru recently set a new benchmark for the Horseshoe Pass by climbing it in 14:22. Thomas described the Etape Cymru "as one of the toughest road events in Britain" and described the route as "challenging but fabulous".

Entry free for 6 team members is £650, which includes: jersey with company logo, dedicated set off time, team photo and access to VIP area in event village.
